● Update on Membership/Membership Cards

• They will be available soon on digital wallets

• Already bought membership cards will be sent out

• Invoices for former members will be sent out by the end of January

• Put members on a yearly scheduled invoice program

• There will be more shows this year that people can use their membership discount on attending. 

 

● “How To Band” Workshop/Koh Show

• Postponed for now, looking to do it in late February. 

• Will be recorded so that it can be re-shared during intermission on Koh Show

 

● Impetus Diamond Fest

• Working on helping them advertise

 

● Band/Venue/Other Directory 

• Encourage local bands, venues, and people who do recording, photography, merch, etc. to fill out those forms

• Trying to be a one-stop location for people to find all things Delaware music

• Move the “availability” portion of these forms to the front

 

● Venue suggestion form

• This is for people to suggest places that they think could potentially be venues, but are not hosting shows as of now

• Ideally we try to put on shows at new locations, get them all set up to do shows, and then let them run with it

 

● Punk Rock Flea Market

• Trying to keep it in Newark

• Check out other firehalls, but would be outside of Newark

• Other suggestions- Audion at Star Campus, Del Tech Stanton Campus

 

● Various other venues that were mentioned for potential stuff

• Chapel Street Playhouse?

• Old Swedes Church

• Makers Alley wants to do stuff- maybe a new band showcase festival?

 

● Porchfest

• Porch applications up on website

• New app for phones

• Discord link on website to connect host porches to bands

• Partnerships - West Side Market for Farmers Market

• Maybe have music in Cool Spring Park? Talk to Nathan Field

• Beer garden in Cool Spring Park possible? Talk to ABC

  • Need to put up a barrier wall to make this happen

• Have a Porchfest pre-planning meeting at Coeterie Cafe

• Talk to Urban Bike Project to partner with them and have them make a Safe Bike Way for people to navigate Porchfest and encourage people to bike rather than drive. 

• Lewes is doing a Porchfest this year and they asked for our help, so we’re going to share as much info with them as we can about how to run one

 

● Treasurers report

• We were given a check from Charities Aid Foundation America (subsidiary of Comcast) for $250. Thanks Eric!

• We have a bit over $2500 in the bank, so we’ll have the Treasuer write up a budget for the year soon

• Always still looking for grants!
